Calico Run

Saturday November 16. What a beautiful day for two runs: easy and hard, plus a poker run to add to the fun.

Both runs started out together through Mule Canyon. The easy run with Sally & Bob Day, Jon & Dale Rice, and Ann Kissel split off toward Kramer Arch and grotto canyon. Then on to some 4 wheeling. There! Anne is only using 3 of her 4 wheels! We toured old mining sites and visited Sweetwater Spring, and then joined the hard run group at Bismarck Mine for lunch. After lunch, we took a now somewhat gnarly road to the Wall Street Canyon overlook, and then Stone Cabin and back to camp.

That evening after an abundant pot luck dinner, poker hands were called. Bob Day won the high hand and Sally won the low hand. We insist that the game wasn’t fixed. On Sunday, Bob Day and Rick Schaffer ran a short easy run for the Days, Kellys, Schaffers and Anne Kissel. For an easy run, it was challenging& fun, through a lumpy downhill, some rocky sections, and the whoopdedoos.
