BIG BEAR

This is a 3rd party report so if some of the details are incorrect , too bad.

They met at theDiscovery Center on the north side of Big Bear Lake. Along for the fun were Dave and Grave Trice, Bob & Pat Matula, Rick Schaffer, Paul & Debbie Courseyand their son Jeff, and Mike and Carol Kelly.

They started off with the John Bull Trail which turned out to be a little rougher than it has been, in fact Carol said all the trails were due to the weather this last year. The Big Bear Fest was in progress so the trails were a bit crowded.

After doing John Bull, they went and did 3N93. They encountered someone stuck so they got them going agin. The traffic was so heavy they decided to exit on 2N17X then they went over and did the Gold Mountain trail.

All in all a good day in the pines.

10 YEARS OF SERVICE

I recently realized that I have now been doing your newsletter for over 10 years now!

Since Pat retired this month, we are losing the “free” copy service so I’ll be looking for a cheap place to make copies. We are currently sending out about 40 newsletters each month and if anyone can get away with making copies at work please let me know.

To cut down on the cost, I’m going to start sending out the newsletter as a PDF file via e-mail, so make sure I have your correct email address.

If you don’t want to get it via e-mail please let me know. If we can cut down the number of printed copies to 15-20 it should help.

Since Pat and I are planning on traveling more, this will allow me to still do the newsletter, even while on the road. On the other hand, if anyone would like to take it over, I would gladly let them, and give them whatever support they would require.

MEETINGS IN THE PARK

Starting in July, we will once again be having our summer meeting as Simon Bolivar Park in Lakewood. Along with the meeting, we will have a BBQ and pot luck. Hope you can make it.
