MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

If Rick Schaffer ever gets the bugs out of the Jeep he will be spending the Memorial Day weekend doing some trails in the Panamint Valley. If you are interested give him a call.

Please note the date change for the Miller Jeep trail run from May 15th to the 22nd.

HI-DESERT ROUND UP DONATION

The organizers of the event are trying to buy another large tent to house activities, so we will be donating $50 to that as well as another $50 for a raffle gift.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT

On May 1- 2 the 2nd Armored Division is leading a "Jeep and Truck Drive," an off road drive through 100 miles of 2nd Armored desert training areas from WWII, with visits to three former camps, Camp Coxcomb, Camp Iron Mountain and Camp Granite, with and overnight camp at Camp Granite.

GET INVOLVED

The draft environmental impact statement and draft forest land management plans for the four southern California Forests are expected to be released in late April/early May. There will be a 90 day public comment period following the release of the drafts. Each of the southern forests will host open houses in communities near the forests to acquaint people with the documents and provide information about the comment process. Below are the local May and June dates.
